Owner Driver MPTP Payments: What You Need to Know
We understand that at times, there are delays in MPTP (Multi Purpose Taxi Program) payments. We appreciate your patience and want to assure you that we are always doing all we can to ensure prompt payment.
What Causes Delays?
When there is a delay, it can be caused by two factors: the time it takes for us to find the information to correct any errors within a booking and most significantly, the processing time of CPV.
You will be paid.
There is no risk of losing your MPTP earnings. Rest assured that the payments will come through and as soon as we get them, we will send them to you.
What You Can Do to Help
To avoid further delays:
✅ Double-check all trip details before submitting.
✅ Make sure the passenger’s MPTP number is correct.
❌ Incorrect or incomplete information will slow down the payment process.
Please take a moment to review your entries carefully before submitting. Providing accurate information helps speed up the process.
Owner Drivers – Don’t Forget Your Fees
Just a friendly reminder for owner drivers: if you have unpaid depot fees, please organise payment as soon as possible. Keeping your account clear helps everything run smoothly and avoids any future issues. If you’re not sure about your balance, contact the office – we’re happy to help.
Just a quick reminder for all owner drivers: the minimum EFTPOS usage is $500 per month.
This helps to ensure that all drivers can use the terminal at no extra fee.

Sleep Deprivation and Fatigue
Driving requires full alertness and vigilance, but sleep deprivation and fatigue can severely impact your ability to stay safe on the road. Fatigue reduces your vigilance and ability to react, which are critical for safe driving. The only way to combat fatigue is through proper sleep.
Why sleep is essential:
-
Sleep restores brain function, helping you stay alert and focused.
-
It enhances memory, decision-making, and coordination skills crucial for safe driving.
-
Lack of sleep compromises your ability to assess risks and respond to hazards effectively.
Take regular breaks, and if you feel drowsy, pull over in a safe place for a 20-minute nap. Prioritising sleep isn’t just vital for your health but also ensures the safety of everyone on the road.
Health Tip – Stretch It Out
Long hours behind the wheel can cause back and leg pain, stiff muscles, and fatigue. When you’re waiting for a job or taking a break, do a few easy stretches. Move your legs, roll your shoulders, and stretch your arms. These simple moves improve your circulation and help reduce tiredness.
