Country fares

The following fares and charges apply to all taxis outside the metropolitan, outer suburban and urban zones.

For taxis carrying up to 4 passengers (standard taxi) or any multiple hiring:

Flagfall	$3.30 when the meter is started
Distance	$1.67 per kilometre
Time	58.5 cents per minute if the speed is below 21 kilometres per hour

For taxis carrying 5-11 passengers, or non-wheelchair hiring where the hirer specifically requests a larger than standard taxi regardless of the number of passengers carried:

Flagfall	$3.30 when the meter is started
Distance	$2.505 per kilometre
Time	87.75 cents per minute if the speed is below 21 kilometres per hour

Extras

Extras are automatically calculated on the taxi meter, or should be entered on the meter at the start of the trip.

Phone booking	$2.10
Late night fee	$3.00 (midnight to 6 am)

Public holiday surcharge

A public holiday surcharge of $3.70 (incl. GST) will apply all day Christmas Day, Boxing Day, from 6 pm on New Year's Eve and all day New Year's Day.

In most cases, the driver will add the full amount to your fare at the end of the trip. In some taxis, only TEMPORARY_BODY_TAG.70 will be added to your fare as $3.00 will already be calculated on the meter.

The current late night fee that applies every other night (midnight to 6 am) will NOT apply during the public holiday surcharge period.
